THEISM
Theism is the belief in the existence of a supreme being or deities. This belief system studies the view that all finite things are dependent on one supreme reality. Some organizations that study under this system are Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and certain forms of Hinduism.
ANIMISM
There are many beliefs that fall under the system of Animism. Some beliefs are that all spirits are equal and that all the spirits are interchangeable. Shinto is an example of an organization that practices Animism. Some parts of Hinduism and Buddhism also have some studies under this system.
TOTEMISM
Totemism is centered upon the veneration of sacred objects called totems. A totem is any animal, plant, or other object, natural or supernatural, which provides a symbolic reverence for a person or social group.
NEW AGE
New Age is a range of spiritual or religious practices and beliefs. This system studies “New Age” of love and light through personal transformation and healing. New Age practices can be found in two categories: occult practices and humanistic practices. Studies that can be found under this system are Wicca, Alchemy, crystal work, tarot card reading, astrology, yoga, meditation strategies, creating a positive environment, and communing with nature.
ATHEISM
Atheism is a rejection of the assertion that there are gods. Studies under this system are more focused on what YOU believe.
